71. Unanchored

Her eyes told me a tale,

About a boat that once set sail.


Lost in the ocean without a paddle;

Like an untamed horse lacking a saddle.


Far, far away from the shore,

Completely unsure of what to look out for. 


Many years of freely drifting by and

 then suddenly there in front stood an island.


Like a magnet, the vessel moved towards the banks which remained still and silent. 


I am the boat, confused and lost.

And she is my shelter, 

a treasure laden coast.
